20 pounds lost

Wow, the challenge is over and I am so excited with the results. I lost a total of 8 pounds and Louis lost a total of 12.8 pounds, that 20 pounds in 24 days. It blows my mind that the Advocare challenge did for me in 24 days, what other diets couldn't do in months.!
I just got back from my first Advocare convention, which I am now seeing in a whole new light.  At this conference there were 7,000 other people whose lives have also been changed dramatically for the better because of this company. More to come I promise.
I'm exhausted and ready to spend some time with the family before I set my best friend up with her 24 day challenge tomorrow. I put this challenge package together for her and her partner- my favorite vegetarians!

Snatching the 14!

Today I weighed in at 140.2, whoo-whoo!!! I also snatched the 14 at kettlebell for the first time. I feel like a rock star! Last night was an awful night of cravings. I was dying for something sweet, which is not my usual craving. I am a crunchy, salty type of girl. I tried mixing chocolate Muscle Gain (advocare protein powder) with greek yogurt for a pudding type dessert. I almost threw up, it was so gross! Then I thought I would just make a chocolate protein shake, but I put in too much water. It tasted like a really bad version of the Metro-Mint water! Ugh, it was so frustrating to go to bed with an unsatisfied sweet tooth.

My 24 Day Challenge

I love advocare. I am on day 17 of their 24 day challenge. I have done their challenge before but never quite as successfully as I have been this time. The first ten days are the cleanse part of this challenge, flushing out all the Christmas cookies from Grandma Carol. During the cleanse I removed all dairy and grains from my diet. I have been gluten free on and off for years, it's never a pretty sight when I pretend that I can eat it! The truly difficult part of this challenge for me is giving up the dairy and the corn products, ie tortilla chips. No tortilla chips during football season, what was I thinking?
The best part and the reason I know I have been successful is that I roped my husband into the challenge as well. It is always best to have a buddy and it meant that he wouldn't be noshing on tortilla chips while I scooped up our favorite guacamole with zucchini chips. I weighed in at 146.8 seventeen days ago, which is 6.8 lbs heavier than before Thanksgiving. Yesterday I weighed in at 141.2. That is a total of 5.6 lbs in 17 days. Yipee!! Louis, my husband has lost 10 lbs, plus he looks amazing!
I am doing Kettlebell three to four times a week, plus three Bikram Yoga classes a week.
Life is good! 7 days left......
